Computer Arts issue 132
What's in the latest issue, on sale now
So the new year is well under way and we’re all busy at Computer Arts, planning for another year of fantastic creative content. We hope you’ll join us for the ride.
This issue, we’re starting as we mean to go on by showcasing work from the world’s most promising new and emerging talent. We’ve spent the past couple of months rolling up our sleeves and finding people working in different areas of design that show real promise, in terms of their creative output and also in the way they are pushing forward the boundaries of style and form. We’ve found great work all over the world – from Brazil to Israel, Spain to France, showing genuine talent is always out there, you just have to know where to look.
Aside from the 13 pages bursting with fresh talent and ideas, we’re assuming that at this time of year many of you will be getting back behind your desks after a fun-packed Christmas break and thinking “aaarrggghhhh!” If this is the case, then this could be the year you seriously consider taking the plunge and either setting up your own design business or going freelance instead.
With this in mind, you’ll find our Freelance Survival Guide, which takes an honest look at the freelance life, the challenges it throws up and, if you manage to make it work for you, the amazing benefits and life changes it can offer. Freelancing may not be for everyone, but it’s a great option for many.
Elsewhere this issue, we profile US-based design couple Kozyndan, look at what can be achieved when you integrate Cinema 4D and Photoshop and, in the interests of truly broadening your horizons in 2007, show you how to turn an illustration into an amazing navigable QuickTime panorama. Hope you enjoy it!
