Computer Arts issue 160

This month’s Computer Arts includes a free 36-page guide to mobile design. In association with Nokia, we’re pleased to bring you this guide which shows that mobile design is purely an extension of your existing skillset. Pretty much everything you need is included in CS4 or freely available online. It’s purely about making the leap – and with Nokia and Adobe teaming up to offer some great prizes for mobile design innovators, now is the right time.

Also this month, Computer Arts’ deputy art editor Luke O’Neill interviews the iconic illustrator Jasper Goodall. Our lead Photoshop tutorial this issue comes from Josh Vanover, aka Spaceknuckle. He’s one of my current favourite artists, and his insightful tutorial delves into how he embraces mistakes and accidents in his work to find new directions. We also enlist the T-shirt design talents of Jared Nickerson and explore the inspirations of the incredibly talented Steven Harrington.
