Computer Arts Projects issue 89

Illustration 2006 - the latest issue, on sale now

cap89cover200One thing that unites all of the talented illustrators who have contributed work to this month’s special showcase issue of Computer Arts Projects is their shared belief that drawing as a creative medium has the power to take them out of the here and now and into a world of their own, and if an illustrator is doing his or her job well, that’s exactly what they should be aiming for.

With this in mind, in this issue of Computer Arts Projects we’ve scoured the world to bring together what we consider to be the very best in digital illustration – from the up-and-coming artists we showcase in our 20/20 Vision feature to the recently commissioned work highlighted at the front of the magazine – with the aim of transporting you into another world. To make sure we do this properly, we’ve concentrated on showing off the images as well as possible and we’ve even changed our paper stock to make sure we do them justice.

When we started putting this issue of Computer Arts Projects together we were completely amazed by the range and scope of illustration being produced at the moment. Selecting the artists we felt best demonstrated the ever-changing world of digital illustration was no mean feat, but we responded to the images we’ve included here on a purely emotional level – and we hope you do too!
