eBoy's latest pixel cityscape is out, and this time it's Los Angeles that's been distilled into an isometric microcosm. As always it features a wealth of tiny details for you to pore over. I'm not that 'down' with LA, but I think I spotted Paris Hilton , not to mention a zombie massacre.

James Alliban, whose Cubist self-portrait generator got a mention from me a fair old while back, has just dropped me a line about his new project: another self-portrait generator, but this one uses a Wii remote and a webcam, enabling you to paint your self-portrait on the screen in real time. I reckon it would make an awesome installation; take a look at it in action.

It's nice when design companies get all compassionate. Especially when it's Psyop and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, and the results are so mesmerizing. This is a new short from them, highlighting the plight of the bumble-bee who, it turns out, is disappearing at a rate of knots, and who is responsible for pollinating a third of the food we eat.
