NBA Big Colour Series
The Nets, Heat and Knicks are among the NBA teams South African studio Am I Collective has illustrated for a new series of posters
Am I Collective has teamed up with Goodby, Silverstein and Partners to create a series of posters promoting the NBA’s Big Colour collection of limited edition vests.
The posters, like the vests, have monochromatic colour schemes. Among the players featured in the series are Joe Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets, the Miami Heat's Dwayne Wade, Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma Thunder and the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony.
The poster of Anthony (above) also features in a recent commercial directed by Spike Lee. Landmarks and cultural iconography from the city each team resides in features in the background of each illustration.
Cape Town-based creative studio Am I Collective works across illustration, animation and typography, and has attracted as clients high-profile brands including Converse, Milky Way and ESPN.
