Win a Gypsy-6 mocap system worth $38,000
Celebrate issue 100 of 3D World in style with this chance to win an Animazoo motion-capture system, including software and training
To celebrate issue 100 of 3D World, we’ve teamed up with award-winning motion-capture specialist Animazoo, to give you the chance to win a Gypsy-6 mocap system, plus software and training – together worth a mouth-watering $38,000.
Enabling you to record full-body movement in a form that can be imported into your favourite 3D software, the Gypsy-6 is ideal for anyone creating character animation, from VFX professionals to games developers, film-makers and architects.
At only 6kg in weight, the system is highly portable. This portability, together with the accuracy of the raw data output, makes it ideal for on-location capture. The system can be used in any environment and doesn’t suffer from magnetic interference.
The Gypsy-6 is really quick and easy to set up: a beginner can be up and running in as little as 30 minutes. However, to make sure they get the most out of the prize, the winner will also receive two days of free training at the Animazoo studio in Brighton, UK.
And to complement the Gypsy-6, Autodesk is offering a copy of its MotionBuilder software to the winner. MotionBuilder 7.5 is the foremost productivity suite for 3D character animation. Animazoo also provides drivers to link MotionBuilder with the Gypsy-6.
THE PRIZE
The Animazoo prize bundle includes one Gypsy-6 system (with one year’s parts and labour warranty, free software upgrades and free phone and email support) and one copy of Autodesk MotionBuilder and all necessary drivers, together worth $35,500; plus two days of training at Animazoo’s studio in
Brighton, UK, worth $2,500.
Please note that the prize does not include travel to or accommodation in Brighton.
