Computer Arts Desktop Wallpaper 4
Another helping of desktop joy for you – this time it’s our special secret cover artwork for subscribers, created by Scott Gursky
As promised, here’s your second portion of desktop wallpaper for the month, lovingly crafted from Scott Gursky’s artwork for the subscriber edition of Computer Arts 122 – the Money issue.
In order to emulate the traditional print technique of engraving used on most banknotes, Scott converted various images to bitmaps and then employed halftone effects to give the design a realistic texture. Arabic numerals and inscriptions were also used to add an international flavour to the finished illustration, leading to a minor panic on press day as we scrambled to find a translator in order to make sure that we weren't being unwittingly heretical. Of course, it all checked out fine.
As ever, we have three sizes for you to choose from. Click to open the image size you want, then save and install.
