L’Or Rouge
From the 3D World Showreel: a character from a classic series of posters advertising the apéritif Dubonnet comes to life in this stylish student short. Who says that alcohol doesn’t aid creativity?
From the first frame of Kent Hugo’s L’Or Rouge, there’s something hauntingly familiar about its mechanical star. But only halfway through the short does it become clear where we’ve seen this character before – he’s based on AM Cassandre’s famous posters advertising Dubonnet in the 1930s and 40s.
