Hi,
I have been attempting this effect on my photoshop. I have followed instructions fully but where your image shows the darker highlights, where the eyes and hair are, mine seems to be turning out white. Everything else is fine, but i have no black in my image. Was wondering why this was. Would i need to desaurate my image before hand? Or can I keep it in full colour?
Also on section 4: "Another way you can copy selections to adjustment masks is to open the mask, with Alt/Opt+click, and fill the selection with black." What is the Alt/Opt+click on a PC? As i thought this was the solution to my problem however I'm finding it difficult to work out how to do this.
Thanks

@Sharma25
You need to invert the layer mask on your Color Fill layer. To do this, click the mask to select it and then press Cmd + i to invert it. From there everything should look beautiful :)
And on a PC if you hold ALT and click on the layer mask, it will make a selection of that mask, very useful.
@maria
You did it correctly. The layer will be named 'red copy layer' but it is also an alpha channel. You can Cmd + click on the Red channel to select its mask and then use that selection to fill the Layer Mask on your Color Fill layer. Again, you may need to invert the fill by selecting the layer mask and pressing Cmd + i. Cheers
