Just what I have been looking for!

As far as "Starting your own Store", what suggestions can you give for setting up a store on a website?

Right now I'm considering going through Ebay or PayPal to sell some items. However, they take a percentage of sales and charge posting fees. If I could set up a store on my own website it seems like I could work my way around those fees.
