I found this tutorial hard to follow. Anyone else have trouble?

Yes. I think it's almost impossible to follow unless you already know how to do all of these effects. For example, in the step where he's making the vinyl, he says to add a Radial Gradient Overlay with the blend mode set to Color Dodge, and then to make the lines added a noise gradient. Then he says to duplicate the layer and change the gradient type to Solid to create the impression of light reflecting from the record.

If you follow these directions, you get something that doesn't look anything like what his image looks like after that step.

This article would be more benefit if you explain clearer than this.

Especially in each of steps.
