Great article, thanks.
Now, you can also use 3D printing directly from an iPhone or iPad app like the Sculpteo app. We worked with designers to create 3D designs that you can make your own directly from the app, and have them 3D printed. For example, you can now 3D print your own ceramiq mug with Sculpteo by taking a picture of you and modify it in the app.

techfortrade, a London based charity, has launched 3D4D Challenge, which looks for the 3D Printing ideas that will best benefit the developing world. The winner will get $100,000, and the opportunity to work with some great, experienced people to make their idea a reality. If anyone is interested please apply here: http://www.3d4dchallenge.org/enter/.
I would love to start a discussion on what sort of ideas you guys think could really make a difference in developing countries. Please comment below if anyone has an opinion! If anyone is interested in the challenge, and would like to keep up to date, please like our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/3D4Dchallenge. Anyone with access to the page will also have the opportunity to see videos of the finalists pitching their ideas, and vote for your favourite!
