What kind of instruction is this: "Zoom right into the edge of the left-hand side of the square and, holding Opt/Alt+Shift, cut from the bottom of the left edge of the square to the top of your page, ensuring you cut the objects above the top of the square." ? I can't repeat even one of the steps!
