I'm trying to learn this technique but I'm stuck on the 8th Step.

Between 7th and 8th step, the image has gone from being grey to normal. I'm not understanding how this happened since we didn't flatten or reduce opacity or done anythng to remove the grey.

Could you please please help me figure this out?
