Although half British and half German, Serge Seidlitz was actually born in Kenya in 1977.
He grew up travelling between the UK and Asia, where his exposure to modern Chinese art, Mad magazine, music channel MTV and the dangerous life of his foreign correspondent father fuelled his desire to become a professional illustrator.
Following a spell at art school, Serge ended up working as a designer at The Cartoon Network. He now works as a freelance illustrator and has secured commissions from an ever-evolving list of clients that includes such big name brands as MTV, Volvic, Orange, Honda and The Guardian.

LOGOSHEET "This is a collection of logos and idents I have created over the last year or so for MTV and Toonami. There is plenty of skate sticker influence in these. Many of them weren't used in the end, but I think they look cool on a sheet together."

RESTAURANT "Restaurant magazine commissioned this image for a front cover. The brief was completely open and I was required to communicate the technology behind the scenes in the restaurant industry. I also had an insert and two spots in the same issue."

There's a heavy fantasy element to Sam's work, much of which he readily admits revolves around his own humour-filled universe. James 'Couk' Downing, Pete Fowler, and Japanese artists such as RakGadjet are cited as his biggest influences, along with the game art of Jet Set Radio and Katamari Damacy.
