Job is a passionate letter designer and craftsman, drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources including classical and Arabic calligraphy, graffiti, commercial lettering, his grandmother's handwriting and the Russian Constructivists. He plans to expand his skills into the areas of fashion and architecture.

Horror Vacue "I never got to finish this design because it was rejected by the client," says Job. "Eastpak found it too childish. The idea was to make a pattern that completely covered the bag with letters - not a single blank space."

"What is funny is that every time I get back from holiday I notice that most of the holiday snaps are not of my lovely girlfriend topless on the beach but of shopfronts with logos and curious typefaces. My girlfriend is never amused," says Jonathan Looman, also known as Lowman.
With a passion for old logos and the kind of type used on corner-shop fronts, Jonathan is working as a freelancer while studying at the Utrecht Academy of Arts. He's done internships at Solar_Initiative and another at Machine. He's also busy setting up his own company and putting his Fingertype font into production.
Fingertype Everyone has a unique fingerprint - Jonathan has used his to create a unique ornamental typeface. "This typeface is the ultimate personal type design - no more issues of copyright or the maker's authenticity," he says. The font has been generating large amounts of traffic to his website.
