Job is a passionate letter designer and craftsman, drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources including classical and Arabic calligraphy, graffiti, commercial lettering, his grandmother’s handwriting and the Russian Constructivists. He plans to expand his skills into the areas of fashion and architecture.

While at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Hague, and later at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Job studied alongside Linda van Deursen, Experimental Jetset and Gerard Unger. He uses the working pseudonym Letman.

Horror Vacue “I never got to finish this design because it was rejected by the client,” says Job. “Eastpak found it too childish. The idea was to make a pattern that completely covered the bag with letters – not a single blank space.”
