I’ve just been sent the following link from VIA. It’s to do with the launch of its new micro laptop-thingy, the Nanobook. Well, it sort of is. Instead of just showing what it does, it makes the most inane link to Jack Kerouac’s novel Big Sur, with some British marketing plod spouting all kinds of nonsense linking his new gizmo to Kerouac’s cross-country escapades. There's a great range of work on their website, and they have an exhibition from the 13-26 August, at the SE1 Gallery in crucifix lane, where you will be able to purchase artwork. 13 Illustrators make the collective, and they take part in exhibitions across the country, and abroad, recently in Barcelona. It brings together the work of design graduates from across Britain, meaning we can attend this rather than going to loads of separate degree shows. We saw some fantastic illustration and graphic design work, and there's also plenty of product design and furniture if that takes your fancy.
