The Oregon-based troupe is looking for 27 (count 'em) volunteer Maya users to produce background graphics for the play, with job roles ranging from modelling to animation, lip synch and lighting set-up. All positions are unpaid, although the company will cover your expenses - and, of course, it is something to put on your CV. Concept work on the project is already underway, with performances scheduled for March 2006. Fans of musicals may also be interested to note that the preface to the play "contains several lines made famous by Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady". All together now: "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain..." http://home.comcast.net/~mike.aronson/wsb/html/view.cgi-home.html-.html |

Quicktime 7
QuickTime updates don’t usually get us that excited. But the inclusion of the H.264 codec in QuickTime 7 has us drooling as it’s the one the PSP uses for movies. Stick your showreel on a big memory card and put it on a PSP – that’s progress!
Canon EOS 350D
Canon’s pro-am SLR gets even better, now with an 8 megapixel sensor and new features previously only found on much more expensive models, including three focus modes, monochrome mode and faster memory card writing.
