Christmas e-card round up
The best digital Christmas cards from our inboxes
Christmas is a time of goodwill to all men. It’s a time to put aside petty differences and catch up with absent friends.
In the CA office, it’s a time for every designer and company to try to get in to our good books for some quality coverage in the New Year. Whilst bribes are gratefully received, a simple Christmas card will suffice. And in the age of email the Christmas e-card has become the greeting of choice for many.
Some people have used this as an opportunity to create a design masterpiece showing off their skills, others however, really should have made a little more effort!
So in this special Christmas feature we round up the best of this year’s offering
Andy Potts - First up, we have Andy Potts slightly scary Santa illustration complete with hypnotic eyes. We’d always suspected the big man had supernatural powers, but we had assumed he was using them for good rather than evil.
Pete Draper –aah, little Pete Draper of Xenomorphic aged 3(0) has made us a Christmas card. Did you really do that all by yourself Pete?
Sam Gilbey – Sam Gilbey of Pixelsurgeon wishes everyone a merry Christmas with this most seasonal of images, a blue elfin girl with a samurai sword. Thanks Sam! Check it out and get a desktop sized version here.
Mook interactive - design agency Mook has made a super special effort with this Flash e-card and teaser for their new site. The Christmas tree is composed entirely of greetings messages, which make up its branches. Send your wishes to Mook and make a new branch. Check it out here
Roxio – this little card came from the good people at Roxio, makers of leading CD writing software. A nice little festive cartoon and a shameless plug for their software. Thanks Roxio
Quark – Quark sent us this jazz tinged Flash e-card in which a snowflake drifts around the world. Check it out here
Framestore CFC – Film post-production wizards Framestore celebrate Christmas in style with this lovely little festive themed puppet show. Framestore has also gone one further by donating month's worth of meals to the Centrepoint shelter in Soho, as well as financial gifts to three other charities. Check it out here
Spencer Wilson – Spencer Wilson of Peepshow sent us this particularly jolly little santa illo for Christmas. Thanks Spencer www.spencerwilson.co.uk
