November 2009 (#168)

The latest issue, on sale now with free 2010 calendar!

We had a hard time deciding on our top 10 new stars of design. Months of research, deliberation and arguments - working from a list of at least 50 talented new designers - resulted in the list you'll find in the latest Computer Arts. See if you agree with our choices, and let me know what you think. You'll find contact details below.

Moving from new talent to legends, I'm incredibly excited to feature an interview with one of the most recognised, loved and indeed famous graphic designers in the world - the one and only Milton Glaser. Thanks to Milton and his team at Milton Glaser Inc for being so cooperative.

Elsewhere this issue, we bring you tips on how to get the best out of Photoshop and Dreamweaver; round up five of the UK's leading designer to discuss 'Is this the golden age of typography'; find out the winners of the Digital Artist 2009 competition; and take a look at the best new design books.

Our Technique section is as packed as ever, with Ben Thomas revealing his photomontage secrets, Matt Booth showing you how to create kaleidoscopic artwork using ActionScript and much more.

Next issue, on sale in the UK Thursday 19 November, we bring you a collector's edition Jon Burgerman cover.

Cheers!
Rob Carney Editor
