November 2010 (#181)

The latest issue, on sale now

What does your daily design work involve? It most likely includes, on some level, logos, branding, identity work, reports and other print collateral. It's bread and butter stuff - and although not perceived by the masses as all that glamorous, it's the cornerstone of graphic design, communicating a client's needs in the most suitable way. But that's not to say you can't flex your creative muscles on these projects.

With that in mind, we decided to pay a visit to four agencies that have created stunning print work for both local and international clients - reports, identities, mailers and presentation packs are all covered. See how the agencies involved exceeded client expectations and how you can re-energise your own daily design work.

Elsewhere we bring you a mini mag on getting started with iPhone app development in Flash. It's a topic our sister magazine Computer Arts Projects will be covering in-depth in a forthcoming issue.

Finally, I'd like to say a huge thanks to our speakers and everyone who attended this year's Graduate Showcase Seminar event in September. If you missed it, check out our report.

Enjoy the issue, and please send me any feedback on anything you see in the mag.
