Summer 2010 (#178)
The money issue - on sale now
Money. It's not something that we like to talk about much - but in these troublesome economic times, it's vitally important that, as a creative professional, you are being paid what you are worth.
With that in mind we've put together a series of features all aimed at furthering your career and, ultimately, making you more money. We begin by talking to some of the industry's finest and discover how to negotiate better fees, nail a contract, get into selling your designs online and win more work in a downturn. Then we reveal how new graduates can begin their career, before looking at what you should be earning in the creative industry - no matter what your experience or discipline.
Elsewhere, we talk to the brilliant interactive designer Erik Natzke about his career and what the future holds for this pioneer of Flash design; join a lively discussion on the state of illustration in our Round Table; and bring you a new mix of iPhone and iPad app and book reviews. Our Technique section this issue is full of inspirational and insightful software and design skills, with the likes of Steven Bonner, Aske and Chris Moran sharing their creative expertise.
Next issue we bring you our annual Graduate Showcase, plus an awe-inspiring feature on Argentina's new creative talent. Look out for it on sale in the UK from Thursday 26 August. Until then.
