Produce an Impressionistic painting

When it comes to simulating natural media via digital means, there’s no better tool than Corel Painter 8 used in combination with a Wacom tablet and a good dose of artistic vision and creative enthusiasm.

All the artwork included in this article was created on an Apple PowerBook G4 (1GHz, 512MB RAM) running Mac OS 10.2 with Corel Painter 8 and the Wacom Intuos2 Platinum A5 graphics tablet.

There are no right or wrong ways to create a digital Impressionistic work. Whatever you do, you’re not going to break your computer, Painter or your tablet, so be adventurous and have fun!
